Corrections and accuracy policy
Report an error
If you spot something on this site that is wrong, outdated, or misleading, please email hello@landlineswitch.co.uk. Tell us which page the error is on and what you think is incorrect. A link to the page is helpful.
What happens next
We will check the information against our sources. If it is wrong, we will correct it and update the "last reviewed" date on the page. If the correction changes the practical advice on the page, we will add a note explaining what changed.
We aim to review reports within five working days. If the error is safety-related (for example, incorrect guidance about telecare alarms or emergency calling), we will treat it as urgent and aim to correct it within one working day.
Transparency
We do not silently rewrite pages. If a correction materially changes the advice on a page, we will note the change. Minor fixes (typos, broken links, rewording for clarity) are corrected without a separate note.
Our commitment
Every safety claim on this site must be traceable to a named source. If we cannot verify a claim, we remove it or mark it as uncertain. We do not guess, and we do not present industry speculation as fact.
For more on where our information comes from, see sources and last reviewed.
